Phantom wallet will allow users to remove spam NFTs using the new Burn Token feature.
Phantom, a Solana-based wallet provider, has introduced a new feature for its users which will allow users to burn spam NFTs sent by scammers. The feature will be accessible via the Burn Token tab in the wallet app. Each time the users use this feature, they would receive a tiny deposit of SOL tokens.
The issue of spam NFTs has been more prevalent on the Solana network owing to its low transaction fees. The bad actors on the network often airdrop free NFTs containing malicious links to the Solana users. These links, when clicked, can cause the wallets to be drained off. The new feature is a part of a broader initiative by Phantom to counter the issue of spam NFTs.
