The Cardano Vasil upgrade has its September 22 launch date booked

It’s official – Cardano (ADA) will undergo its long-awaited Vasil mainnet upgrade on September 22, after a delay of 3 months. The upgrade will bring greater scalability and lower fees for the layer-1 scaling network, which hit a 2-month high recently.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced the date of the upgrade on his YouTube vlog. The upgrade was originally scheduled for June and has been rescheduled twice. Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the R&D company which worked on the upgrade, confirmed that three critical mass indicators required for the successful implementation of the upgrade have been reached.

The upcoming upgrade will be the fifth for the network and include improvements to its Plutus programming language. At Millionero, we’re excited!
