Crypto prices tumble as hype around Ethereum Merge wanes

Ethereum has reached its lowest level since July, while Bitcoin has further dipped below $19k.

Bitcoin and Ether’s prices continued to fall over the weekend as investor enthusiasm over Ethereum’s Merge upgrade appears to have faded.

BTC is currently trading at $18,437.58, down by 8.17% in the last 24 hours, while ETH is trading $1,295.48, its lowest level since July. The price of ETH has decreased by 11.09% in the last 24 hours and 26.25% over the last week.

Major altcoins also continue to trade in the red, with XRP, Cardano, Solana, and Dogecoin all down by 11.85%, 10.89%, 9.08%, and 8.71%, respectively.
