Market Watch: Bitcoin falls below $22K after sudden sell-off; Ether continues to trade at $1.6K

The major cryptos lost key support, having fallen to new monthly lows after a month-long bull run. 

Bitcoin fell from $22,738 to under $21,274, down by 13.66% in the last seven days, reaching its lowest point in more than three weeks. The price of ETH also dropped by 17.64% during the past week, from almost $2000 earlier this month to $1,648 at the time of writing. 

The crypto market witnessed a flash crash yesterday and saw liquidations worth $551 million in the last 24 hours. All the top cryptocurrencies continue to trade in the red as of press time, except for Shiba Inu, which has gained 4.80% in the last 24 hours.
