A Bitcoin-themed van has been going across Europe for crypto promotion and encountered many hurdles, but all are in good spirits for Bitcoin.
Europe is just fresh after passing the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. But it has just encountered another positive development for the sector, with a crypto promotion exercise. Ariel Aguilar, a Bitcoin proponent, has taken the initiative, driving across Europe for crypto adoption. His van, named La Bitcoineta, has seen many unique incidents along the way.
Ariel Aguilar comes from Argentina and has gone through almost twelve European nations so far. He recalled an incident when he was moving from Serbia to Lugano when customs and border officials intercepted him. It occurred at the border of Bosnia and Croatia, late at midnight.
His crypto adoption journey took him to Switzerland, where strangers gave him a positive signal. Other crypto-friendly countries like Spain and Portugal found nothing surprising with his Bitcoin van. He also visited Gibraltar, Andorra, Munich, Oslo, Prague, and Romania.
He could now go to Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. Further, he plans a September trip to the United Kingdom, followed by Madrid, Amsterdam, and Luana. Aguilar also plans to take longer trips next year and plans interviews with Bitcoin advocates.
His Bitcoin van has become a symbol of prominence in Europe and attracted signatures from personalities like Prince Phillip of Serbia and Elizabeth Stark.
