China’s new blockchain center to be a training hub for specialists

China’s new blockchain center, named the National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center, has recently started operations, starting training specialists

Numerous blockchain firms, universities, and other research institutions are expected to collaborate with China’s new blockchain center, as it aims to train more than 500,000 specialists in blockchain technology in the initial phase.

The National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center, which started off in Beijing, is expected to give the much-needed push toward the adoption of blockchain technology in China, with several more initiatives on the way. The developer of the ChainMaker blockchain, the Beijing Academy of Blockchain and Edge Computing, is already one of the leaders of the center.

The domestic blockchain has been adopted by several businesses and blockchain firms and served as an example of accelerating blockchain adoption in the country. China’s new blockchain center is expected to power blockchain firms in China along the same lines.

A leading academic in China, Zheng Zhiming, said, “Building a national blockchain technology innovation center, carrying out key technology research, industrial applications and high-level national blockchain main chain construction, connecting blockchain application platforms, and aggregating blockchain application ecology will significantly enhance blockchain innovation capabilities and core competitiveness.”

Zhiming is a professor at Beihang University in the Department of Mathematics and System Science. He believes that the new blockchain center’s main role would be to unite the numerous blockchain islands operating in China. Other initiatives regarding crypto in China include the upcoming CBDC project.

The 500,000 specialists trained in the blockchain center are expected to contribute significantly to the country’s growth in blockchain adoption.
