Stablecoin firm Tether has partnered with a crypto firm in Turkey for a digital asset awareness program that will involve crypto educational initiatives in the country.
Tether, the popular stablecoin issuer, has initiated a digital asset awareness program in Turkey. It has teamed up with a local crypto firm, BTguru, for the project. It revealed the development in a press release and shared other details about the project. Besides, Tether has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the project with BTguru.
In the recent past, Tether has also been behind other digital asset educational programs. Meanwhile, in the press release, the firm claimed that the Turkey project was an extension of the Tether EDU program. It claimed that the program would provide a foundation for lifelong success in the digital age.
It then shared how the project will introduce blockchain technology to public and private stakeholders. The firm will take advantage of BTguru’s connections to explore partnerships with local financial institutions. BTguru’s expertise will also be handy in exploring real-world asset tokenization and payment scenarios, it said.
Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CEO, said, “Tether and BTguru believe in the transformative power of digital assets and peer-to-peer technologies. This MOU has the potential to provide a solid foundation for the responsible and informed use of digital assets.” A senior representative from BTguru also noted the potential of the crypto education program.
