The new digital asset education project is a collaborative initiative between Tether and the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT) to promote crypto awareness and literacy.
Stablecoin issuer Tether has launched a digital asset education program with the National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT). It announced the project through a press release and said it will enhance blockchain education in the region. Students of the program will get a detailed education on crypto and blockchain and its various aspects. The press release also noted the project will equip students with practical skills in the emerging sector.
Tether launched the ‘Blockchain and Digital Asset Education’ program at Taipei University. Initially, the program enrolled around 110 students. While Tether created a team of industry leaders for the course, the university developed the course materials. The press release went on to list the key areas that the program will cover for students.
It includes fundamental crypto and blockchain knowledge, career prospects, investment principles, regulatory insights, and critical thinking development.
Tether’s CEO, Paolo Ardoino, said, “By focusing on comprehensive knowledge, Tether aims to work hand-in-hand with these prestigious universities to empower the next generation of blockchain professionals in the region.”
The press release also described Tether’s other educational initiatives on crypto awareness. Currently, it runs a project called Lugano Plan B in the Swiss town of Lugano. It is aiding the local administration with its expertise in crypto for the project.
On the other hand, Tether is also the creator of another crypto-educational project. The ‘Tether Edu’ project, launched in February 2024, is a global educational project.
A few days ago, Tether was in the news for Alloy, a new stablecoin. Tether launched the stablecoin in a bid to promote the extensive usage of stablecoins.
