Heroic Story is out on a mission to rebuild the idea of traditional TRPG games.
A web3 game protocol has successfully managed to raise $6 million amidst the difficult economic conditions underlying the world now. Heroic Story, who raised the funding amount, are pioneers in transforming traditional tabletop games into new digital worlds. They recently released Legends of Fortunata, a popular multiplayer game, passes of which were already sold out, as indicated on its website.
The funding round was led by several reputed firms such as Upfront Ventures, Multicoin Capital, Polygon, etc. Mark Suster, the Managing Partner at Upfront Ventures, said, “We fell in love with the vision for Heroic Story because they are building authentic online RPG experiences for large, global audiences passionate about the tabletop RPG genre.” The funds would be reportedly used to hire new talent and create the required technologies to manage the big multiplayer gaming world.
Heroic Story has created a positive synergy between writers, game masters, developers, artists, and gamers to create Legends of Fortunata, aiming to transform traditional pen-and-paper tabletop games into decentralized game avenues with autonomy for every stakeholder. Such gaming ecosystems incentivize every contributor to the game through tokenizing, which leads to a level playing field for everyone associated with the game.
