Yuga Labs continues to consolidate its portfolio, hinting at an integrated metaverse in the future.
Yuga Labs continues its acquisition spree as they announced the acquisition of 10KTF, the popular NFT game. They also acquired CryptoPunks and Meebits from Larval Labs in March 2022, and this game is the latest addition to their portfolio. Yuga Labs is the creator of the hugely popular Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which already has a film released based on it.
Beeple, whose real name is Michale Winkelmann, had created 10 KTF and WENEW, the Web3 ecosystem also acquired by Yuga Labs. Beeple would continue as an advisor in Yuga Labs post the acquisition. “Storytelling and world-building are foundational at Yuga, and I’m thrilled that we get to work with the creative mind hive at WENEW in a much more robust way.”, said the Co-Founder of Yuga Labs, Greg Solano.
In an exciting new development, a collaboration between 10 KTF and Otherside, the metaverse platform of Yuga Labs was hinted at. Both Otherside and 10 KTF published tweets announcing the same. 10 KTF even released a thread posting pictures of Wangmi-San, the game’s hero, drinking a potion previously featured in Otherside.
