A partnership between Cassava Network and UniPass, a self-custody wallet, is expected to provide the much-required boost to easing web3 for users in Africa.
Web3 adoption in Africa is expected to increase after the web3 platform Cassava Network launches its v3 product by integrating with the self-custody wallet UniPass. The web3 platform for non-fungible tokens, loyalty rewards, and gaming would enable users to use email addresses in place of gas and seed phrases and enable users to move from web2 to web3. Users would likely be immediately signed up for UniPass on registering for Cassava and will be able to store, send and receive digital assets across multiple EVM blockchains.
“With Cassava v3, we have made it easy for African users to interact with their favorite Web2 and Web3 brands. As users interact with these brands, they earn both CB Coins and other on-chain rewards specified by partners,” said the co-founder of Cassava, Mouloukou Sanoh, explaining how users could easily shift to web3 through the self-custody wallet and the new v3 product.
Reward tokens in the Cassava network are called CB coins, which could be swapped by users for on-chain assets. The tokens could be further used for mystery boxes and concert tokens. Cassava v3 could also be used by businesses to grow their brands in the African market, according to Mouloukou Sanoh, by building communities in the network for their customers and rewarding them for completing tasks.
Sanoh also stated that the latest partnership with the self-custody wallet could enable web3 firms worldwide to connect with African users using web2. It is expected that the latest v3 product could help increase web3 adoption in Africa.
