The weekend remained gloomy for most of the cryptocurrencies as the market cap continued to fall.
Bitcoin (BTC) threatens to close August at a 20-month low after it continued to shed losses over the weekend. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $19,830, down by 6% during the last seven days. Ethereum (TH) continued to remain below $1.5k, currently trading at $1,450, down by 6.7% during the past week.
The total crypto market cap plummeted further by 2% since yesterday and, at the press time, stood at $952 billion. Except for Cardano (ADA) and Litecoin (LTC), most of the altcoins remained in the red, with some witnessing double-digital losses during the week. Bitcoin’s market share stood at $39.85%, after a minor increase of 0,2% since yesterday.
